You have an opportunity to give back and serve your community by running for a seat on the Board of Trustees. This may be your chance to help set Tricounty Rural Electric Cooperative's policies, direction, and strategic focus. For this year's elections, petitions may be filed by members residing in Districts 4 and 7.
To serve as a cooperative trustee, a candidate must be a member of the cooperative, living in and receiving electric service from the cooperative, in the district of the cooperative which they are to represent. In the case of a joint membership, either spouse is eligible to be a candidate for trustee.
Any member residing in a district up for election and meeting the qualifications may become a candidate by obtaining a petition form from the cooperative's office and obtaining at least 20 valid signatures from current Tricounty members.
Districts 4 and 7 include:
- District 4 - Harrison and Monroe Township in Henry County
- District 7 - Sections 2, 3, 10, 11, 26, 27, 34, and 35 Swan Creek Township SE and Sections 10, 15, 22, and 23 of Swan Creek Township NE in Fulton County.
If you wish to be considered a candidate for trustee for your board district and would like to receive a petition packet, please contact our office by calling 419-256-7900 or emailing agerken@tricountyrec.com by May 16, 2025.
